How do I add books to Clarify?
Tap the + button on the library screen to import an EPUB file from your device. Clarify supports standard EPUB format ebooks.
What does Auto Simplify do?
Auto Simplify rewrites the entire chapter in simpler language while preserving the original meaning. You can choose from three levels: College Student, High School, or Middle School.
How do I use the Word Meaning, Simplify, or Explain features?
Select any text while reading. A menu will appear with options to look up word meanings, simplify the selected passage, or get a detailed explanation.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Reading, navigation, and all locally cached content work without an internet connection. The AI-powered features (Word Meaning, Simplify, Explain, Auto Simplify) require an internet connection.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your books and reading progress are stored locally on your device. When you use AI features, only the selected text and book metadata are sent to our server for processing — we do not store this data. See our

What ebook formats are supported?
Clarify currently supports EPUB files. PDF and other formats are not supported at this time.
How do I delete a book?
On the library screen, long-press on a book to see the delete option. Deleting a book removes the file, reading progress, and any cached simplifications from your device.
The AI features aren't working. What should I do?
Make sure you have an active internet connection. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app. If you continue to experience problems, please contact us at
